Bio

Unlike the rest of his team, pilot Ben Grimm was the only member of the Fantastic Four whose outward appearance was changed by the cosmic rays. His body was transformed into a hulking, rock-like "Thing." Disgusted by his appearance, Ben resigned himself to a life of cursed solitude, until his friends convinced him that he could use his tremendous new power to help others in need. Eventually, Ben came to accept his strange form and put his strength to good use, causing villains everywhere to fear the words, "It's clobberin' time!"
